Creative light in photography involves using light sources, both natural and artificial, in innovative ways to evoke specific moods, highlight textures, and create depth within a photograph.
- Examples:
- Lighting a subject (half of the subject in light/half in dark or rim lighting)
- Light painting (long exposure of a person moving a sparkler to draw a heart)
- Golden light (using morning light hitting buildings or windows)
- Blue Light (landscape just after sunset)
- Movement of light (slow shutter speed of a carnival ride or fireworks)
