Digital Contest Rules
- The digital image must not have been submitted in any previous competitions (digital or print) with the exception of conversions from color to monochrome or visa versa.
- We do not allow Artificial Intelligence as follows:
A. Photographs must have been taken and post processed only by the submitting club member.
B. All pictorial elements in a submitted image must originate from images taken by the member. - Your name/watermark cannot appear on the digital image.
- All members in good standing (dues paid) of the HSVCC are eligible to participate in the yearly digital competitions.
Photo Submission Instructions:
- You can access the link to the submission app as follows:
a. You will receive an email from the HSV Camera Club with the link; or
b. Complete the online entry form.
c. Go to the club website www.hsvcameraclub.com. Under the “Competition” tab, beside the “2026 Digital Topics” tab select the “Creative Light Contest #2 2026” tab. - Select your name (type the first few characters and select your name from the list). (NOTE: if your name doesn’t appear you may need to renew your membership. Contact Okey Bess at [email protected].)
- Enter your photo title.
- Self-select your skill level 1, 2 or 3, as described in the “Skill Level Criteria”. Your selected level will be used for you for the entire competition year. Contact digital coordinator Sue at [email protected] or Heather at [email protected] if you need help with your skill level selection.
- Accepted formats for entry include: JPG, PNG, WEBP. You can submit using your computer, phone or tablet.
- Upload your photo by clicking the “Choose File” button. Navigate to the photo you are submitting then:
a. Click on the “Open” button at the bottom of the screen (computer), or the selection button on your phone or tablet.
b. Your photo file name will appear next to the “Choose File” button. - Then hit the “Submit Photo” button. Please wait for the upload to complete. When the upload is complete the screen will say “Submission Received” and display the photo you submitted. Please do not close the window or web page until you see this acknowledgment. This will ensure that the photo had completely uploaded to the website. Early closure of the window or browser will result in an error.
- You will receive a confirmation email showing that your submission has been received. If you don’t see this email within 24 hours, please contact digital coordinator Sue at [email protected] or Heather at [email protected].
- Only the member’s first entry will be accepted.
