HSVCC organizes numerous field trips each year whereby the group goes out to photograph the site.

#1 Milky Way & Bird Photo Shoot at Bois D'Arc WMA Hope, AR.
19th of Sept.
Departing the east gate assembly area at 3:30P.M. and return around midnight.
Whether you're planning to go to Mowdy Ranch on the 23rd or not, this is a good opportunity to take advantage of
one of the last good opportunities to photograph the Milky Way Core this season.
If you are interested in going, you can sign up on the club web site
but please let me know by e-mail or phone if you can drive if we need you.
There should be good opportunities to do some bird photography before the
sun sets, so plan equipment (lenses) appropriate to your goals. We will stop
for a burger/sandwich passing through Hope.

#2 Mowdy Ranch Mustangs and Milky Way shoot. in Coalgate, Oklahoma Sept 23 — 25.
*Cost is $225 per person that includes two night stay at their lodge and 2 guided photo sessions (morning and evening Sept 24th)
Travel at ranch is by ATV.
Depart - from TruValue parking lot 8:00 A.M. on Sept. 23rd
Arrive back - In Village on the Sept. 25th at approximately 4:00 P.M.
Arrive there approximately 5 P.M. Dinner in Coalgate? and then Milky way shoot at 9 P.M.
24th Sept. mustang shoot in A.M., rest and mustang shoot P.M.. Dinner (pizza) that evening.
Depart Mowdy Ranch on the 25th A.M. with lunch on way home.
Cost will be paid to Mowdy Ranch as either cash or check.
They cannot process credit cards.

Arkansas State Fair in Little Rock Oct 13 with b/u Oct. 15.
Cost is $10 entry fee plus food and drinks. We will depart the east gate parking lot at (3:00 P.M.) Plan is to do some evening photography followed by an evening of night shooting to end around (9:00P.M.) returning to the Village around 11:00 P.M.

Wheeler NWR, Decatur, Alabama Nov. 18-19.
Depart east gate parking lot 7:00 A.M. Nov. 18 to arrive at Wheeler NWR at 2:00 P.M. to photograph wildlife/birds. Check into motel and go to dinner (8:00 P.M.) and get up early (5:30 A.M.) to photograph the birds returning to the refuge in the morning. Shoot until around (10:00 A.M.) and depart for home to arrive around (5:00 P.M.) Cost approximately $75 not counting food. More specifics on the club web site as the trip matures and lodging is established.
