Waterfalls captivate observers with their striking visual presence, embodying both power and tranquility while remaining inherently dynamic. For photographers, the objective is to inspire viewers to relive the immersive sensory experience of being near a waterfall.
This presentation will showcase different types of waterfalls and provide guidance on optimal timing, techniques, and approaches for capturing compelling images. It will further address essential equipment, technical proficiency, and artistic considerations required for successful waterfall photography. The program will conclude with a detailed workflow for postprocessing waterfall images

Memphis Zoo
On April 15th - (rain date 16th) HSVCC will travel to Memphis to participate in a photo shoot at the Memphis Zoo. Depart East Gate at 6:00 a.m. Arrive Memphis Zoo at 9:00 a.m. Meet at Zoo restaurant at 11:30 and eat lunch, departing Memphis around 1:30 and arriving back to Village about 4:30 p.m., If you plan to participate, please fill out the Field trip form on the Website. Let Kurtis or Jennifer know if you can drive.

Bois D’ arc Wildlife Refuge/Milky Way shoot in Hope, AR.
May 13th - (rain date 14th) Depart East Gate 3:00 p.m. Shoot wildlife (Egrets should have their hatchlings) from about 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. then drive into Hope for dinner, followed by an evening shoot of the Milky Way. Not likely to arrive back in Village till about 1:00 a.m. please fill out the Field trip form on the Website. Let Kurtis or Jennifer know if you can drive.
